Why Yes and Why No

Why doesn't the child carry? He must be tired or maybe he's hungry, his crying shows it; you're fat, you're skinny; why did you say hello to that neighbor? She has a bad reputation; you are already old, you still look very young; you look better with long hair, you look better with short hair. These are some of the expressions that betray the inconformity or the tendency of some to criticize; one's own dissatisfaction is directed at what is perceived, and with prejudice the attitude and appearance of others have been considered.

Jesus Christ himself, with his pure, mature and spiritual way of being, was not free from being unjustly judged and condemned.

John 7:24 NKJV

24 Do not judge according to appearance, but judge with righteous judgment.”

Luke 7:39 NKJV

39 Now when the Pharisee who had invited Him saw this, he spoke to himself, saying, “This Man, if He were a prophet, would know who and what manner of woman this is who is touching Him, for she is a sinner.”

1 Samuel 16:7 NKJV

7 But the Lord said to Samuel, “Do not look at his appearance or at his physical stature, because I have refused him. For the Lord does not see as man sees; for man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.”

Matthew 11:18-19 NKJV

18 For John came neither eating nor drinking, and they say, ‘He has a demon.’ 19 The Son of Man came eating and drinking, and they say, ‘Look, a glutton and a winebibber, a friend of tax collectors and sinners!’ But wisdom is justified by her children.”
