To the Unknown God

Juan Diego Jaramillo | April 3rd, 2021

The human being, by nature or culture, tends to look for something or someone superior; in whom he can place his trust and rest from existential demands.

Not accepting the reality of his eternal spirit, he directs this uncertainty, commits himself to what supposedly for him, is his way out and solution to his anguishing despair.

He creates cults, altars and gods to whom he can direct his supplications and questions, which surely will not have answers; because precisely, the reason is that they are not spiritual.

Fleeing from the one Truth, he plunges deeper and deeper into unbelief and destructive skepticism.

Acts 17:23-24 NKJV

23 for as I was passing through and considering the objects of your worship, I even found an altar with this inscription: TO THE UNKNOWN GOD. Therefore, the One whom you worship without knowing, Him I proclaim to you:

24 God, who made the world and everything in it, since He is Lord of heaven and earth, does not dwell in temples made with hands.
