The most beautiful, valuable, holy and pure, among the children of men, was sold for about 60 dollars; this was the material value it meant to a reprobate, vain and desperately materialistic mind. 600 dollars was the price of the perfume of pure nard that a repentant woman, humbled in adoration and sincerity, poured over the body of that Son of God, thus anointing Him and preparing Him for His burial.
Books are written about Him, about His life and ministry, they announce Him through music; costly and apparent pulpits, adorned with endless oratory. For every human being there is a meaning of the Christ; be it material or spiritual, and this is what he proclaims, be it with attitudes or words.
1 Corinthians 2:4-5 NKJV
4 And my speech and my preaching were not with persuasive words of human wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power, 5 that your faith should not be in the wisdom of men but in the power of God.
Philippians 1:15-18
15 Some indeed preach Christ even from envy and strife, and some also from goodwill: 16 The former preach Christ from selfish ambition, not sincerely, supposing to add affliction to my chains; 17 but the latter out of love, knowing that I am appointed for the defense of the gospel. 18 What then? Only that in every way, whether in pretense or in truth, Christ is preached; and in this I rejoice, yes, and will rejoice.
