The Joy of Living

Juan Diego Jaramillo | June 12th, 2021

It is a complete joy to be able to enjoy the richness of existence, to have the satisfaction of breathing and contemplating the wonders of our eternal Father's creation; the magnificent treasure of having been born and, most sublime of all, to have as our Creator someone perfect and wonderful!

He endowed us with many forms of expression; physiological, emotional and spiritual, to delight us and make us feel fulfilled on earth: a sentimental partner according to his designs, family, exquisite food, healthy entertainment and music, among others.

But we must be careful, because it is through these precious gifts that the angel of lies could seduce us to lead us to spiritual death; he tempted the Lord himself in the desert, when he, after forty days and forty nights of fasting, was about to begin his ministry, telling him to turn stones into bread. The same music, pleasant to the body and to the ear, could potentially be designed with subliminal messages to harm the minds of young people and adults.

Alcohol (ethanol) is naturally present in very ripe fruits such as apples, grapes, pineapples, pears, figs and peaches. It is very interesting to know that a daily glass of alcohol may be directly related to the development of seven types of cancer.

1 Thessalonians 4:3-5 NKJV

3 For this is the will of God, your sanctification: that you should abstain from sexual immorality; 4 that each of you should know how to possess his own vessel in sanctification and honor, 5 not in passion of lust, like the Gentiles who do not know God;

Matthew 4:2-4 NKJV

2 And when He had fasted forty days and forty nights, afterward He was hungry. 3 Now when the tempter came to Him, he said, “If You are the Son of God, command that these stones become bread.”
4 But He answered and said, “It is written, ‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.’ ”

Ecclesiastes 7:5 NKJV

5 It is better to hear the rebuke of the wise than for a man to hear the song of fools.

1 John 2:16 NKJV

16 For all that is in the world—the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life—is not of the Father but is of the world.
