On a certain occasion, Someone introduced himself to a man with speech limitations and a fugitive from the Egyptian empire, as I AM.
To make ourselves known, we always use a name to be differentiated from others; only He who has authority over time, space and the physical laws that govern us, could claim to be the I AM; which starts as a derivation, in the historical context, from the verb to be (hayah) in Hebrew (I AM: YHWH, or known with the help of the tetragrammaton, as Jehovah or Yahweh).
While we; with the help of time, pronounced our name, He, in His eternal Being, and from eternity, presented Himself with the awesome and ever-present phrase, I AM.
Exodus 3:14 NKJV
14 And God said to Moses, “I AM WHO I AM.” And He said, “Thus you shall say to the children of Israel, ‘I AM has sent me to you.’”
Revelation 1:8 NKJV
8 “I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End,” says the Lord, “who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty.”
