Sing Girl, Sing!

At the end of the church service, one of the attendees referred to the vocalist of the group, saying: I have never heard such an angelic voice! Days went by, and the young man with the comment, found a way to approach the girl to ask her out and get to know her a little better; it was then God's purpose that they would be united in marriage and form a family, according to His perfect will. Years passed and the happy couple began to get to know each other in a more objective way; since the surprising courtship and passions were giving way to reason and the sincere expression of personality through its defects.

One day, the young man who yesterday was so in love with "the princess of his dreams", while she was taking a shower, concluded that his wife was not as beautiful as he thought, he had idealized her! Then, in order to cope with his destructive conflict, he shouted: sing baby, sing!

What strong aspect of character, talent or physical appearance do you fall in love with? Or perhaps, did you learn to love the soul, flawed or not?

2 Samuel 13:1-2;10-15 NKJV

1 After this Absalom the son of David had a lovely sister, whose name was Tamar; and Amnon the son of David loved her. 2 Amnon was so distressed over his sister Tamar that he became sick; for she was a virgin. And it was improper for Amnon to do anything to her.
...
10 Then Amnon said to Tamar, “Bring the food into the bedroom, that I may eat from your hand.” And Tamar took the cakes which she had made, and brought them to Amnon her brother in the bedroom. 11 Now when she had brought them to him to eat, he took hold of her and said to her, “Come, lie with me, my sister.”

12 But she answered him, “No, my brother, do not force me, for no such thing should be done in Israel. Do not do this disgraceful thing! 13 And I, where could I take my shame? And as for you, you would be like one of the fools in Israel. Now therefore, please speak to the king; for he will not withhold me from you.” 14 However, he would not heed her voice; and being stronger than she, he forced her and lay with her.

15 Then Amnon hated her exceedingly, so that the hatred with which he hated her was greater than the love with which he had loved her. And Amnon said to her, “Arise, be gone!”

1 Samuel 16:7 NKJV

7 But the Lord said to Samuel, “Do not look at his appearance or at his physical stature, because I have refused him. For the Lord does not see as man sees; for man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.”

Song of Solomon 3:1-5 NKJV

1 By night on my bed I sought the one I love;
I sought him, but I did not find him.
2 “I will rise now,” I said,
“And go about the city;
In the streets and in the squares
I will seek the one I love.”
I sought him, but I did not find him.
3 The watchmen who go about the city found me;
I said,
“Have you seen the one I love?”

4 Scarcely had I passed by them,
When I found the one I love.
I held him and would not let him go,
Until I had brought him to the house of my mother,
And into the chamber of her who conceived me.

5 I charge you, O daughters of Jerusalem,
By the gazelles or by the does of the field,
Do not stir up nor awaken love
Until it pleases.
