Seen Unclearly

The response of ten young girls to their teacher was: "in the mirror, after applying make-up, we can see insecurity". In a vague way, they suspected that behind the face, they were living with something more valuable that went beyond the limits of the matter and the appearances to which they were subjected.

In the Middle Ages, they used wax masks at parties; when they guessed who was behind the mask, they exclaimed "without wax!". That's where the word sincere comes from.

The best thing that can happen to someone, in terms of pleasure and fun, is to be sincere with himself.

James 1:23-25 NKJV

23 For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man observing his natural face in a mirror; 24 for he observes himself, goes away, and immediately forgets what kind of man he was. 25 But he who looks into the perfect law of liberty and continues in it, and is not a forgetful hearer but a doer of the work, this one will be blessed in what he does.

Romans 8:24-25 NKJV

24 For we were saved in this hope, but hope that is seen is not hope; for why does one still hope for what he sees? 25 But if we hope for what we do not see, we eagerly wait for it with perseverance.
