Love is shared, but with the demand to ask for it and receive it first; this is the slogan of the materialist society that, as coexistence, manifests egolatry and an excessive self-care. In order to be able to "love", they need to be loved, valued and understood, without the slightest attempt to nag themselves and to consider as a priority the sadness and need of the other. They consider love as an object that satisfies their selfish desires, thus forming a limited, poor and manipulative relationship.
There was a humble and pure man, who lived with peace, freedom and tranquility; surrounded by unlimited wealth and power, in ineffable and unimaginable habitation. Beautiful and in his ways, perfect; who left all for the undeserving.
Romans 5:8 NKJV
8 But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
Philippians 2:5-7 NKJV
5 Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus, 6 who, being in the form of God, did not consider it robbery to be equal with God, 7 but made Himself of no reputation, taking the form of a bondservant, and coming in the likeness of men.
1 John 4:19 NKJV
19 We love Him because He first loved us.
