Protection

Once upon a time, a young man, visionary, adventurous and daring; but above all other qualities, passionately believing in Jesus and His immeasurable saving power, slept for a week on the floor of an old house, surrounded by opossums; spent twenty nights in the jungle in a hammock, not knowing that lions walked under it; swam an hour in the night, out to sea, confident that the creator of large, carnivorous fish would give them orders not to harm him; a large viper fled when it saw his foot too close to it; .... ..

Was it luck, or was it divine protection? The Christ, the great master, the one who with His hands formed everything that exists, rested in a boat in the middle of a strong storm and was strengthened by angels to overcome weakness. Only He can be and is the only luck we have as long as we live! And He even commands His angels to serve us.

Daniel 6:19-22 NKJV

19 Then the king arose very early in the morning and went in haste to the den of lions. 20 And when he came to the den, he cried out with a lamenting voice to Daniel. The king spoke, saying to Daniel, “Daniel, servant of the living God, has your God, whom you serve continually, been able to deliver you from the lions?”

21 Then Daniel said to the king, “O king, live forever! 22 My God sent His angel and shut the lions’ mouths, so that they have not hurt me, because I was found innocent before Him; and also, O king, I have done no wrong before you.”

Luke 22:42-43 NKJV

42 saying, “Father, if it is Your will, take this cup away from Me; nevertheless not My will, but Yours, be done.” 43 Then an angel appeared to Him from heaven, strengthening Him.

Psalm 16:5-9 NKJV

5 O Lord, You are the portion of my inheritance and my cup;
You maintain my lot.
6 The lines have fallen to me in pleasant places;
Yes, I have a good inheritance.

7 I will bless the Lord who has given me counsel;
My heart also instructs me in the night seasons.
8 I have set the Lord always before me;
Because He is at my right hand I shall not be moved.

9 Therefore my heart is glad, and my glory rejoices;
My flesh also will rest in hope.

Hebrews 1:13-14 NKJV

13 But to which of the angels has He ever said:

“Sit at My right hand,
Till I make Your enemies Your footstool”?

14 Are they not all ministering spirits sent forth to minister for those who will inherit salvation?
