No Shadow of Variation

To doubt the judgments and decisions of God with respect to humanity is an attitude of ignorance and foolishness, because in this way, one pretends to take the place or the throne that belongs to Him alone; in His sole power He decides, permits, orders and waits. He decided to create us and love us, although He knew beforehand, our unfaithfulness; He allows certain events in our lives to edify us and show us His mercies; He ordered His servants the prophets, to announce His punishments to the rebellious people who did not want to respect His precepts; and, He waits patiently for us to submit and be edified by means of His Perfect Word.

When He commanded the people, through the mouth of Moses, to look at the bronze serpent, it is because He had in mind to heal them through this act of obedience; and they were not partially delivered from death, they categorically received health! The unbeliever, who would not direct his eyes to it, inevitably died. The Almighty could have protected them from perishing, but He had declared His will beforehand by an immutable law, and to disregard it, brought about dire consequences.

In the deadly path of a plague, He allows some research and studies to be conducted on drugs that could mitigate its deadly action, but it does not mean that these are infallible or perfect; many will suffer throughout the experimentation. Perhaps most will share in such scientific advances, while others will remain on the sidelines.

Job 1:12,22 NKJV

12 And the Lord said to Satan, “Behold, all that he has is in your [a]power; only do not lay a hand on his person.”

So Satan went out from the presence of the Lord.

22 In all this Job did not sin nor charge God with wrong.

Exodus 12:12-13 NKJV

12 ‘For I will pass through the land of Egypt on that night, and will strike all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, both man and beast; and against all the gods of Egypt I will execute judgment: I am the Lord. 13 Now the blood shall be a sign for you on the houses where you are. And when I see the blood, I will pass over you; and the plague shall not be on you to destroy you when I strike the land of Egypt.

Jeremiah 29:11-13 NKJV

11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope. 12 Then you will call upon Me and go and pray to Me, and I will listen to you. 13 And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart.

James 1:17 NKJV

17 Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning.
