Looking Beyond

Juan Diego Jaramillo | July 21st, 2021

Understanding by the Spirit that he was about to die, he did not stop to think about what the threatening and fanatical opponents would do with His life; rather He turned His gaze to the heights to finish being formed and enlivened in Him.

Because of the fragility that is innately in us, we are inclined to focus on problems, pain and tribulation; surely some of the circumstances in which you are involved are very difficult to understand and accept, however, because of the greatness of His love and the strength of His sweet company, you will manage to overcome.

The ideal is not to stop too much to observe the dark moment; set your eyes on what Jesus wants to do for the edification and perfection of your life; consider beyond the turbulence formed by the difficulties.

Acts 7:54-57 NKJV

54 When they heard these things they were [a]cut to the heart, and they gnashed at him with their teeth. 55 But he, being full of the Holy Spirit, gazed into heaven and saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing at the right hand of God, 56 and said, “Look! I see the heavens opened and the Son of Man standing at the right hand of God!”

57 Then they cried out with a loud voice, stopped their ears, and ran at him with one accord;

Galatians 4:19 NKJV

19 My little children, for whom I labor in birth again until Christ is formed in you,

Hebrews 12:2 NKJV

2 looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.

2 Corinthians 3:18 NKJV

18 But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord.

Philippians 3:20-21 NKJV

20 For our citizenship is in heaven, from which we also eagerly wait for the Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, 21 who will transform our lowly body that it may be conformed to His glorious body, according to the working by which He is able even to subdue all things to Himself.
