Lighten

When visiting a beautiful and fresh water stream in times of rest, on some occasions we have found some small and round stones; covered with a type of slat on its surface, which wen light pressure is applied on them; immediately, they move or slide with lightness, towards another place of the shore. How good it was! That in which we have put too much concern and that has already become a serious and heavy problem, would flee from our lives to feel light and rested.

To depart to eternity in peace, tranquility, calm and confidence, necessarily implies something like an analogy with the slippery stone; the more we find ourselves light of burdens or material ties, the easier and more uncomplicated our death will be.

Luke 12:15,20-23,31 NKJV

15 And He said to them, “Take heed and beware of covetousness, for one’s life does not consist in the abundance of the things he possesses.”
20 But God said to him, ‘Fool! This night your soul will be required of you; then whose will those things be which you have provided?’
21 “So is he who lays up treasure for himself, and is not rich toward God.”
22 Then He said to His disciples, “Therefore I say to you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat; nor about the body, what you will put on.
23 Life is more than food, and the body is more than clothing.
31 But seek the kingdom of God, and all these things shall be added to you.

Romans 14:17 NKJV

17 for the kingdom of God is not eating and drinking, but righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.
