It's Not Real

"All that glitters is not gold", a phrase commonly used to refer to what is false or apparent; we could understand it as pseudoreal or false reality; dealers of precious stones and metals, before proving the legitimacy of a jewel, by means of chemical substances, learn to differentiate it from the original, by observing it carefully. In matters of the human heart, one can easily know who is disposed for what is good and pleasing before God, through his fruits.

Though perfection may be distant from the follower of Jesus, the sincere intention of his soul, united with the passion with which he seeks the footsteps of his master, by the power of God acting for his constant transformation, will surely attain; by his eternal mercies, citizenship in heaven.

Pyrite is a stone with an imitation too deceptive, many have been swindled out of large sums of money because they believed in the admirable resemblance of this metal to gold.

Matthew 6:16-18 NKJV

16 “Moreover, when you fast, do not be like the hypocrites, with a sad countenance. For they disfigure their faces that they may appear to men to be fasting. Assuredly, I say to you, they have their reward. 17 But you, when you fast, anoint your head and wash your face, 18 so that you do not appear to men to be fasting, but to your Father who is in the secret place; and your Father who sees in secret will reward you openly.

Jeremiah 17:10 NKJV

10 I, the Lord, search the heart,
I test the mind,
Even to give every man according to his ways,
According to the fruit of his doings.

1 Corinthians 4:5 NKJV

5 Therefore judge nothing before the time, until the Lord comes, who will both bring to light the hidden things of darkness and reveal the counsels of the hearts. Then each one’s praise will come from God.

Matthew 7:15-20 NKJV

15 “Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves. 16 You will know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes from thornbushes or figs from thistles? 17 Even so, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. 18 A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a bad tree bear good fruit. 19 Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. 20 Therefore by their fruits you will know them.
