The betta or fighting fish, native to Thailand, is a difficult species to tame in the sense of physical contact; but with patient care in feeding them, cleaning their space and talking to them, they are slowly letting go of their "aggressive" nature by getting to know who is protecting them. Personally, we have one at home and he has been allowing me to approach him, to the point of having started with two or three seconds of contact; days later, he accepted to be petted for five to seven seconds.
I hope he gets so used to my presence that I can gently pick him up in my hand.
In the family, love, healthy habits, closeness, dialogue and respect, encourage children to be safe with their parents; expecting from them protection and wise advice.
In the flock, the sheep know the voice of their shepherd and cannot be deceived by the thief or the devourer.
John 10:1-3,27-28 NKJV
1 Most assuredly, I say to you, he who does not enter the sheepfold by the door, but climbs up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber. 2 But he who enters by the door is the shepherd of the sheep. 3 To him the doorkeeper opens, and the sheep hear his voice; and he calls his own sheep by name and leads them out.
27 My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me. 28 And I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand.
Psalm 22:9-10 NKJV
9 But You are He who took Me out of the womb;
You made Me trust while on My mother’s breasts.
10 I was cast upon You from birth.
From My mother’s womb You have been My God.
