What would motivate an athlete in the 1500 meters, if a short distance from reaching the finish line to succeed in the race, he slips and falls? Some will answer, maybe everything or maybe nothing, could be the reason to get up; if we perceive the moment from the stumble and the position with which the body was left, there would not be much hope, but if we try to imagine the possibilities that run through his head, he would have again the opportunity to keep the trophy, if he looks at the end of the race, what has been achieved so far and without stopping to observe if another runner is near. The motivation remains the same, the desire to succeed remains intact, even if he is seriously beaten; because in order to win, he is participating in the competition.
We cannot remain prostrate in the face of incompetent pain, physical or circumstantial limitations and external opposition; we must continue with renewed purpose for victory in Jesus!
Psalm 37:24 NKJV
24 Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down;
For the Lord upholds him with His hand.
1 Corinthians 9:24-27 NKJV
24 Do you not know that those who run in a race all run, but one receives the prize? Run in such a way that you may obtain it. 25 And everyone who competes for the prize is temperate in all things. Now they do it to obtain a perishable crown, but we for an imperishable crown. 26 Therefore I run thus: not with uncertainty. Thus I fight: not as one who beats the air. 27 But I discipline my body and bring it into subjection, lest, when I have preached to others, I myself should become disqualified.
Philippians 3:13-14 NKJV
13 Brethren, I do not count myself to have apprehended; but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead, 14 I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.
