But, I Love You

Invited to a beautiful Ecuadorian city to conduct a spiritual campaign directed to children between five and ten years of age, in order to teach them respect for their parents and for God, a young evangelist began by greeting the fifty children with a hug who attended the first day; all the girls and boys responded to his welcome, except one of five years, that the first thing he did, was to hit him with the toe of his foot on his shin. The speaker ignored the behavior of the little boy, beginning with the praise and dynamics.

When the activities were over, he looked for his aggressor without hesitation to ask him: "Do you love me? The almost immediate response was: no! But he replied: but I do love you!

Of all that large group, the only one who always sat by his side and sometimes on his lap was the apparently difficult one. His departure from the place brought tears and more, as he said goodbye to his new and faithful little friend.

Matthew 19:14

14 But Jesus said, “Let the little children come to Me, and do not forbid them; for of such is the kingdom of heaven.”

Matthew 18:3

3 and said, “Assuredly, I say to you, unless you are converted and become as little children, you will by no means enter the kingdom of heaven.

Hosea 11:4

4 I drew them with gentle cords,
With bands of love,
And I was to them as those who take the yoke from their [b]neck.
I stooped and fed them.
